Dr. Abiodun Claudius-Cole has a Ph. D from the Department of Crop Protection and Environmental Biology, University of Ibadan. As a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ibadan, she has been engaged in teaching, research and community development in various aspects crop protection, plant pathology and nematology.

She specializes in plant disease diagnosis and management of agricultural crops; development of technologies to enhance agricultural productivity; and capacity building in the areas of good agricultural practices (GAPS).  Her research is focused on nematode disease management, and recently on nematode identification and sources of resistance to plant pathogens. Dr Claudius-Cole has over 60 publications spread over international and national journals.

Dr Claudius-Cole collaborates with national and international organizations such as Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Services (NAQS), National Institute of Horticulture (NIHORT), University of Agriculture, Makurdi, and Texas A&M University. She is a Visiting Scientist at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA). In addition, she runs her own farm and offers consultancy services to other farms.
